Here are your December questions for Adonal...

Chris in the San Francisco Bay Area asks...
How many hours a day did you put into practicing over the summer? It seems like you are constantly improving and I am guessing it is from a lot of practice.
[Adonal] I put in about seven hours of workout a day, and that would include basketball of course, but also other activities to keep me fit, such as raquetball, running and weight lifting.

Sully in Boston, MA asks...
I was wondering what you max out at in regards to the bench press and leg squat exercises. How important do you feel physical strength is, in terms of being a successful NBA player?
[Adonal] I don't max out - I believe that for the NBA you have to be lean as opposed to being too muscular and bulky, especially with the younger and faster players who come in every year. Speed is essential.

Jeremy in Berkeley, CA asks...
With the upcoming release of "Ali," do you think this movie might inspire more social and political activism by today's athletes? What can you say about the political mindset of modern athletes?
[Adonal] Modern athletes have the luxury of not necessarily being as political as athletes in the past. The athletes of the past experienced unique circumstances in that their personal liberties were directly challenged, and movements for civil rights, peace, and women's rights were right in their faces and impossible to ignore. Today, since some of these issues aren't as prominent, there isn't as great a perceived need to think deeply about these issues.

I hope that the movie will inspire more athletes to become more conscious of the important issues facing society, since they can use their celebrity status to bring about a greater public awareness. A lot of athletes today do have charities and foundations, but I think that they can push themselves a little harder to influence a larger majority of people. Personally, I am working on increasing awareness of the lack of campaign finance reform.

Justus in Vallejo, CA asks...
1. What position do you think needs to step up on the Warriors to reach the playoffs?
[Adonal] I think we just need to spend more time working together - the teams that are successful are the ones that have been together a long time, and we are a very young team. We have good people at all the positions, now it's about learning each other's game.

2. Do you think the Warriors will trade Marc Jackson for a higher draft pick? And what are the Warriors looking for?
[Adonal] It's hard to tell, but I think they are planning to trade him.

Mahesh in Sunnyvale, CA asks...
Did you ever catch the West Indies Cricket team in the World Cup finals? Do you have a favorite cricket moment? Mine was the Indian win over the W.I. in 1983!
[Adonal] I've followed them in the previous years, but I missed them this time around. My favourite cricket moment is playing cricket at the beach on Sundays in the Caribbean!

Jon in Rochester, NY asks...
While at Colgate did you ever go to Seven Oaks and play any golf?
[Adonal] Unfortunately, I have no golfing abilities whatsoever!
